Veterinary Assistant/PetNurse Aide

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PetNurse Aide to join our veterinary team. In this role, you will assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing high-quality care to our furry patients. Your responsibilities will involve both clinical and administrative tasks, making this an integral position within our hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and handling of animals for examinations and treatments.
- Monitor and record vital signs and behaviors of Pets during their stay.
- Help maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and team members.
- Provide basic care for Pets, including feeding, bathing, and exercising.
- Assist in administering medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian or veterinary technician.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding care and treatment plans.
- Support the team in various administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing inventory.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred but not required.
- Passion for Pet care and welfare.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from veterinarians and technicians.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable standing for long periods and performing physical tasks.
