American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract in Illinois, requiring an active IL RN license and a minimum of 2 years of OR experience.

Operating Room (OR) setting within an acute care hospital environment
-
Schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts per week
-
On-call required as needed
-
Block scheduling requests cannot be accommodated

Active Illinois RN license currently in hand

Current BLS/BCLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience required

Assess patients to determine physical, mental, and spiritual needs prior to surgical procedures

Develops and implements individualized plans of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team

Provides patient and family education and instructions related to care and procedures
-
Applies clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition
-
Maintains complete and accurate medical records

Participates in continuing education as required

Part of a large non-profit health system recognized nationally for cancer, cardiac, stroke, bariatric, breast imaging, and rehabilitation services
