We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Master HVAC Technician for a part-time role dedicated to delivering top-tier heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) services. Duties
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning, heating units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment using schematics, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical knowledge.
- Perform HVAC system installations and upgrades with precision, ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance on mechanical systems, including cleaning, calibrating, and troubleshooting to optimize performance.
- Utilize hand tools, welding equipment, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic instruments to identify issues accurately and efficiently.
- Manage plumbing connections related to HVAC systems and refrigeration units while adhering to EPA regulations for refrigerants.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems within HVAC/R equipment and building automation systems to resolve operational issues swiftly.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining technical solutions clearly and ensuring client satisfaction during service calls.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, schematics updates, and system modifications for compliance and future reference.
Qualifications
- Proven construction experience combined with extensive service technician background in HVAC/R systems.
- Strong understanding of schematics, HVAC design principles, electrical diagnostics, plumbing, refrigeration, and mechanical systems repair.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC system installation, maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues including boilers and ammonia refrigeration units.
- Proficiency with hand tools, welding equipment, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic instruments essential for field service work.
- Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS), electrical systems integration, and property maintenance practices.
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; driver’s license with a clean driving record is preferred.
- Excellent mechanical knowledge paired with strong customer service skills; ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.
- Ability to work independently in the field while managing multiple service calls efficiently.
