DESCRIPTION Medical Assistant
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant with at least three years of clinical experience to join our Federal Way team. This role combines front-office responsibilities with direct patient care, offering the opportunity to work closely with physicians before, during, and after procedures.
This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position with no evenings or weekends, allowing for an excellent work-life balance.

The Medical Assistant will perform patient care activities. Gather pre-treatment patient data, monitor patient and medications during procedures, maintain prescription drug logs, and provide assistance to the clinical team. This is a challenging, fast-pace job with Monday to Friday schedule. No nights or weekends. Our employees enjoy a great work/life balance and a highly supportive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and complete registration and check-in.
- Verify insurance eligibility and obtain required primary care referrals.
- Maintain accurate patient demographic information within the scheduling system.
- Schedule appointments efficiently while accommodating urgent and same-day procedures when needed.
- Obtain vital signs and prepare patients for physician evaluation and treatment.
- Assist physicians during procedures and monitor patients throughout treatment.
- Maintain medication and prescription logs in accordance with clinic protocols.
- Coordinate communication between physicians, referring providers, and dialysis facilities to ensure timely delivery of procedure results.
- Answer incoming phone calls and provide administrative support, including correspondence and faxing.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of Medical Assistant experience.
- Strong clinical skills, including taking vital signs and preparing patients for procedures.
- Experience with insurance verification, referrals, patient scheduling, and registration.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment.
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented with a positive attitude.
