ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Conduct regular inventories of supplies and assets for:
- Gaming facilities owned by the Tribe
- Hotel located on casino property
- Hotel located on a Tribally owned property
- Offices, buildings and storage areas owned or rented by the casino
- Create and maintain a system of receiving inventory and supplies; assist in ordering and replenishing stock as necessary; notify the department of the status of orders.
- Create and maintain an inventory management system; implement computerized methods for accurate inventory records.
- Inspect areas of inventory to assess adequate storage needs.
- Assist with the removal, disposal, and destruction of inventory.
- Inspect all equipment and tools for wear and tear or maintenance needs; maintain records of inspection and service.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure timely availability of needed supplies; establish standard equipment and supplies needed for each department.
- Report discrepancies or issues related to inventory to management promptly.
- Participate in annual inventory audits; verify items over an established threshold amount for accounting and insurance purposes.
- Define and maintain safety standards and protocols for processing and receiving inventory and supplies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Task-oriented and must have a talent for organization and enjoy detailed work. Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis, and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction, and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment, with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness. Ability to flex schedule as directed by business needs, including assisting with overnight inventory counts.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, using discretion while maintaining customer confidentiality and honesty.
- Must have good interpersonal skills. Ability to interact and build relationships with Team Members, Management, and Vendors in a professional manner.
- The position requires bending and lifting at least 40 pounds.
- Must meet requirements to quality for a Gaming License by passing an extensive background security check.
- Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
- Performs all functions in accordance with applicable laws and gaming regulations, the mission and objectives of the Sugar Creek Casino and the Wichita and Affiliated Tribes, as well as established policies, procedures and controls.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in inventory management or clerical roles preferred.
- Two (2) years of related experience in Inventory Control are preferred.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government laws and regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, media, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Basic analytical and deductive reasoning ability. Must be competent in computer skills. Must have superior interpersonal relations skills. Must have superior planning and organizational skills, ability to manage complex projects and investigations.
