Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health history reviews to determine individual care needs.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately, including IV infusions, injections, suturing, and wound care using aseptic techniques.
- Manage complex medical procedures such as catheterizations, dialysis care, ventilator management, and tube feeding with precision and adherence to protocols.
- Document all patient interactions and interventions clearly in electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists (including cardiology, ophthalmology, trauma medicine), and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans.
- Provide patient education on health management strategies such as pain management, medication administration, and post-discharge instructions.
- Participate in triage processes in urgent care or emergency room settings to prioritize patient needs efficiently.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Registered Nurse in acute care environments such as ICU, emergency medicine, or hospital medicine is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation and coding (ICD-10/ICD-9).
- Hands-on experience with specialized procedures including cardiac catheterization, sonography, laboratory specimen collection/processing, and infection control protocols.
- Background working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics (including memory care and dementia/dementia care), behavioral health patients, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Critical care experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers or similar high-acuity settings is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law related to occupational health cases is a plus.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy/physiology knowledge, and diagnostic evaluation techniques essential for comprehensive patient assessment.
