Durex, a division of Gerard Daniel Worldwide, is seeking a detail‑oriented and mechanically skilled Multi‑Skilled Operator (Wire Cloth) to support our 1st shift production team. This role plays a key part in operating and setting up industrial equipment, ensuring accurate product assembly, and maintaining consistent production flow. The Multi‑Skilled Operator will interpret blueprints and manufacturing instructions, select proper tooling and materials, perform equipment setups, and complete quality checks throughout the manufacturing process. This position is essential to producing high‑quality wire cloth products, maintaining safe and efficient operations, and supporting the overall success of our plant.

Essential Job Functions
- Select appropriate tooling, equipment, and raw materials
- Read and interpret blueprints, travelers, and manufacturing instructions
- Set up computerized or manual process equipment according to product specifications
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently while following facility and regulatory guidelines
- Assemble parts and components into finished units
- Perform finishing tasks such as flashing removal, sanding, or cutting
- Verify product accuracy and complete quality inspections
- Lift and move materials using proper techniques or material‑handling equipment
- Use hand, electrical, and pneumatic tools as needed
- Report equipment issues, material deficiencies, or process concerns to supervision
- Apply quality control procedures and use precision measuring tools
- Record labor hours, production quantities, and quality results
- Maintain a clean, organized work area
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
The position involves:
- Regular standing, walking and sitting
- Consistent use of hands, arms, and fingers.
- Ability to communicate clearly and demonstrate adequate hearing and smell capabilities.
- Occasional physical movements — Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling as needed
- Material handling strength — Frequently lifting or moving up to 50 lbs., and occasionally lifting or moving up to 75 lbs.
- Comprehensive vision abilities — Including close and distance vision, color differentiation, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Pay: From $19.75 per hour
