We are for RN's with PSYCH EXP. in a psychiatric hospital or in patient hospital for a Psychiatric Behavioral Health facility in Melbourne, FL. **MUST HAVE CPI CURRENT
16 week contract*
Schedule: M-F for first 2 weeks 8-430pm then 40 hours a week 5 shifts 8 hour shift no 16's no 12's:
- Work-Sunday midnight to Monday morning
- Work-Monday midnight to Tuesday morning
- Work-Tuesday midnight to Wednesday morning
- Work-Saturday midnight to Sunday morning
(work one of the three below shifts the other two off)
- Wednesday midnight to Thursday morning
- Thursday Midnight to Friday morning
- Friday midnight into Saturday morning
Duties:
*Attendance is of the upmost importance! 2 call outs per contract
- Provide direct patient care in psychiatric settings, including assessment, evaluation, and treatment.
- Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Conduct therapeutic interventions and provide counseling to patients and their families.
- Monitor and document patient progress, including response to treatment and any changes in mental status.
- Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as needed.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing with a specialization in psychiatric/mental health nursing.
- Valid nursing license in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in psychiatric nursing or a related field is REQUIRED.
- Knowledge of psychiatric medications, treatment modalities, and evidence-based practices.
- Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

- Current BLS
- Current FL RN license
- TB Screen (within past 1 year)
