American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology role requiring 2+ years of Cath Lab experience and proficiency in advanced cardiac interventional procedures.

Interventional Radiology unit within a progressive facility performing cardiac, peripheral, vascular, EP, and IR procedures
-
Average daily census of 6 patients
-
5x8 hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM
-
Weekend coverage required every other weekend
-
Call requirements up to 3 times per week, including weekday call rotation of 2-3 shifts depending on weekend schedule

Must reside or be able to respond within 30 minutes for call

Uses Siemens imaging equipment (floor mount, ceiling mount coming soon) and Cannon labs
-
EMR is EPIC with Cupid documentation
-
Advanced equipment used includes Impella, IABP, Inari, EKOS, Angiojet, Rotoblator, Shockwave, Diamondback, and Medrad/Acist injectors
-
Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered

Current ACLS, BLS, and ARRT(R) certifications required

CCI RCIS certification preferred
-
State license required if applicable

Proficiency in embolization, coiling, ablations, and implants (ports, pacemakers, ICDs)
-
Skilled with Impella, IABP, IVUS, Shockwave, Rotoblator, laser, and thrombectomy devices
-
Experience in STEMI care with focus on FTB/DTB under 60 minutes
-
Capable of performing peripheral and EP procedures
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred

Prior travel experience required

Must be able to work independently and confidently in all CCL procedures
-
Responsibilities include vascular access, port management, central venous line care, EKG lead placement, access site prep, and monitoring for life-threatening arrhythmias

Duties include serving as room circulator and maintaining sterile field while scrubbed in
-
Skilled in vascular closure systems including Perclose and StarClose
-
Experience with a wide range of procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, IVC filter placement/removal, liver biopsy, and various angiography studies
-
Proficient in EP procedures including cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, and AICD/pacemaker insertion and programming
-
Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including PCI, PTCA, left/right heart catheterization, and hemodynamic monitoring
-
Part of a highly efficient Code STEMI team with system-best door-to-balloon times
-
Strong teamwork and patient-first mindset expected, with willingness to share expertise and support colleagues

Orientation held 5 days a week

Candidates must live 65+ miles from the facility and local candidates will not be accepted
-
Resources who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must be separated from the facility for one full year before returning as a travel candidate

Candidates may be assigned to an emergency team during a declared emergency event, which may require staying at the facility until the event passes or serving on a relief team
