American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a General ICU position requiring 2 years of ICU experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Work in a General ICU setting within a hospital environment
-
Patient population includes cardiac, STEMI, DKA, ETOH withdrawal, vascular procedures, post invasive spinal surgery, and DIEP flaps
-
Patient ratio of 1:2
-
Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (18:45-7:15)
-
Weekend requirement of 6 shifts within a 6-week period, including Saturday and Sunday days and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights

Floating required
-
Epic EMR experience required for consideration

Active RN license (TX or compact) currently in hand
-
Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS

AHA certification preferred; ARC not accepted
-
Military-issued certifications accepted
-
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
-
Community hospital experience preferred
-
State-issued ID required
-
SSN and DOB required for consideration

Care for critically ill patients requiring skills such as arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, and CRRT/CVVHD
-
Experience with cardiac drip titration, vasoactive drip management, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
-
Perform sheath removal and manage patients pre/post cardiac catheterization or intervention
-
Support post cardiac surgery patients both directly from the OR and in later recovery stages
-
Manage patients with acute stroke, hypothermia protocols, and lumbar drains
-
Scrub color requirement: Solis Navy

Candidates residing within 90 miles are considered local and accepted at a lower bill rate

RTO limited to 5 non-consecutive days, with only one holiday RTO request allowed during the Nov-Jan holiday season, subject to management approval prior to contract signing
