Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operating Room Nurse Manager to lead our surgical nursing team in delivering exceptional patient care within a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily OR operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering a collaborative team culture.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the operating room nursing staff, including scheduling, supervision, and performance evaluations to ensure optimal team functioning.
- Oversee all aspects of perioperative patient care, from preoperative assessments to postoperative recovery, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and clinical standards.
- Coordinate surgical procedures with multidisciplinary teams, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff, to facilitate smooth operations.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state healthcare regulations, HIPAA privacy laws, and accreditation standards such as NCQA and JCAHO.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation using EMR systems; ensure proper ICD-10 coding and medical records management.
- Monitor inventory levels of surgical supplies and equipment; oversee sterile processing and aseptic techniques to prevent infections.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years manager/leadership experience.
- Minimum 3 years experience working in OR.
- Current RN license
- Current BLS certification
