Duties

- Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Blackboard to facilitate online coursework, assessments, and student engagement.
- Incorporate multimedia tools like video production, Adobe Creative Suite, and post-production techniques to enhance classroom learning experiences.
- Conduct research to stay current with industry trends and integrate findings into course materials; publish scholarly articles when appropriate.
- Manage classroom activities effectively, ensuring a positive environment conducive to adult education and higher education teaching standards.
- Support students through mentorship, providing guidance on academic progress, career planning, and project management initiatives.
- Engage in departmental meetings, contribute to curriculum development projects, and participate in university committees related to program enhancement.
- Leverage skills in social media management, digital marketing, and public relations to promote courses and university events.
- Use financial concepts like QuickBooks or accounting software for practical demonstrations; analyze data analytics to improve teaching strategies.
Experience
- Proven experience in higher education teaching within a university setting or equivalent academic environment.
- Strong background in commerce-related disciplines such as accounting, business analysis, marketing, or finance.
- Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum content tailored for adult learners and diverse student populations.
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) like Blackboard or similar platforms for online course delivery.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Excel, Adobe Creative Suite, video editing tools, and analytics software to create engaging educational content.
- Experience managing projects related to curriculum development or educational technology integration is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts clearly through public speaking or written formats such as copywriting or journalistic writing.
- Familiarity with financial acumen tools such as QuickBooks or accounting software; knowledge of digital marketing strategies is advantageous.
