TITLE: Assistant Cheerleading Coach (Middle School)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous coaching experience preferred
Knowledge of the rules and fundamentals of volleyball
Ability to serve as a positive role model for student-athletes
Excellent communication and organizational skills
REPORTS TO: Head Cheer Coach, Athletic Director, and Building Principal
JOB GOAL:
To assist the Head Cheerleading Coach in providing leadership, supervision, and organization of the volleyball program while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal development of student-athletes.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in planning and leading practices and games under the direction of the Head Coach
Support the academic and personal growth of student-athletes
Help develop player skills, conditioning, and sportsmanship
Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and travel
Ensure compliance with all school, conference, and IESA rules and guidelines
Communicate with students, parents, and school personnel as needed
Model and uphold high standards of conduct on and off the court
Assist with equipment management and care
Promote a positive team environment and school spirit
Attend all scheduled games, practices, and team functions
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or administration
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Seasonal position; stipend established by the Board of Education.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with district policy and procedures.
