Autodie LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Stellantis (formerly Fiat Chrysler Automobiles), is a leader in the design and build of metal forming tooling for the automotive industry as well as a supplier of large-scale machined products. Autodie is a company with more than 60 years of experience in fulfilling customer needs and offering local expertise for project management, engineering, machining, die construction & tryout, engineering change incorporation, buy-off and launch support. We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Project Manager.
Job Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the die program development process, from initial concept through production launch, in support of global new model programs and engineering changes. This role provides overall direction, coordination, and leadership to ensure programs are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities include managing cross-functional teams, communicating with customers and internal stakeholders, and overseeing all phases of development including part feasibility, die process development, full process and cycle simulation, die design, patterns and castings, machining, die construction, die tryout, die and part buy-off, and home line launch support.
The Project Manager is also accountable for executing front-loading activities, proactively identifying risks, and ensuring budget compliance while maintaining a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement throughout the program lifecycle.
Position Responsibilities:
· Ensure achievement of quality, cost, and timing objectives
· Communicate project status, risks, and deadlines with customers, management, and team members
· Monitor and control project scope against original planning
· Manage engineering changes and assess impacts to cost, timing, and quality
· Serve as the single point of contact for internal and external communications
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience as a Diemaker, Die Engineer or related role, including program management, stamping processes, draw development, forming simulation, die design, die construction, die tryout, and launch
· Strong project management and follow-up skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office
· Strong negotiation and estimating skills
· Proven ability to manage teams in demanding environments with tight timelines
· Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams
· Demonstrated team building and leadership experience
· Willingness to travel as required
