Job Summary
Transport finished goods and materials to various locations in and around the state of Iowa and the United States.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Essential Functions
-
Drive company vehicle to make customer deliveries and material pick-ups.

Maintain appropriate licensing, credentials, and acceptable driving record.

Check fuel and fluid levels before leaving for delivery.

Complete the safety inspection of the vehicle, as required.

Assist with loading cargo into the vehicle in an ordered and logical manner
-
Ensure cargo is secure, balanced and does not interfere with driver’s vision or access

Maintain driver logbook
-
Report any questionable conditions to Shipping Lead (DM) or General Manager (North)

Comply with all DOT and company regulations and rules at all times.
Required Skills/Abilities

Ensure safe driving is a top priority
-
Ability to work independently
-
Proficient use of GPS and other routing systems

Ability to work a flexible schedule as occasional overnights may be necessary
Education and Experience
-
High School Diploma or equivalent
-
Valid CDL
-
Must be at least 21 years old
-
Must be able to read, write and speak English
-
Two years proven experience with tractor-trailer driving preferred
-
No more than one serious moving violation in any one-year period
-
No more than one preventable accident in any two-year period
-
No restricted or suspended licenses in the last three years
-
NO DUI convictions in the last three years
Physical Requirements
-
Regularly require stamina to sit and maintain focus for long driving shifts.

Must be able to safely tolerate heat in the summer and cold in the winter.

Regularly require the ability to lift a minimum of 70 pounds.

Regularly require the ability to sit, stand, bend, twist, lift, reach, kneel, push, pull and lift up to 100 pounds.
