Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Construction Scheduler to support our project management team in developing, monitoring, and maintaining construction schedules. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget through efficient coordination and scheduling. This position reports to the Construction Scheduler.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with the development, maintenance, and updating of construction project schedules using scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).

Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and other stakeholders to gather scheduling data and update project timelines.
- Monitor and report on project progress, highlighting potential risks and recommending solutions as necessary.

Produce regular scheduling reports and updates for management and clients.

Help identify schedule impacts due to changes, delays, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Support the tracking of critical path activities and milestones to ensure timely completion of project deliverables.

Participate in project meetings and maintain effective communication with the project team.

Maintain accurate project documentation and scheduling records.
Required Qualifications

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.

1-2 years of experience in construction, project coordination, or scheduling role (internship experience considered).

Basic understanding of construction processes, methods, and terminology.

Proficiency in scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.

Experience with construction scheduling for large-scale civil or infrastructure projects.

Knowledge of industry standards such as Critical Path Method (CPM).

Certification in Project Management or Scheduling (e.g., PMI-SP) is an asset.
