Duties
- Assist with infant feeding and bottle preparation
- Change diapers and assist with toileting
- Supervise children during playtime, activities, and transitions to ensure safety and engagement
- Assist with implementing age-appropriate curriculum focused on childhood development and early learning skills
- Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and stimulating environment
- Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being
- Provide basic first aid and pediatric CPR when necessary to ensure children's health and safety
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in the Oregon Central Background Registry ( CBR )
- Must have completed the 30-hour Infant/Toddler Training
- Current Pediatric CPR & First Aid Certification
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of child development instruction and early childhood education principles
- Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to manage behavior effectively through positive guidance techniques
- Familiarity with classroom management strategies and toddler care practices
This position begins in August. Monday through Friday. We are looking for someone who truly enjoys working with infants and toddlers and wants to become part of a warm, supportive childcare environment. Only applicants who meet Oregon licensing requirements ( CBR, 30-Hour Infant/Toddler Trainings, and Pediatric CPR/First Aid) will be considered.
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
