Job Overview

Duties
- Lead people and coordinate all aspects of manufacturing operations, from raw material intake to final quality control
- Develop and implement production schedules that maximize efficiency while meeting quality standards and delivery deadlines
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety standards in production environments
- Oversee maintenance of manufacturing equipment, including scheduling repairs and upgrades to minimize downtime
- Monitor and enforce adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to uphold product quality and regulatory compliance
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and training sessions to promote a safety-conscious workplace culture
- Manage inventory levels, raw materials, and finished goods to optimize supply chain flow and reduce waste
- Foster a team-oriented environment by mentoring supervisors and production staff, encouraging continuous improvement and professional development
Requirements
- Proven experience in manufacturing management or a similar leadership role within a production environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly and effectively
- Deep understanding of safety standards in production settings, including PPE use and hazard mitigation strategies
- Familiarity with GMP regulations and quality assurance processes in manufacturing
- Ability to perform lifting safely as part of daily operational tasks
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments and lead teams confidently
- Knowledge of polymer processing and/or compounding is preferred but not necessary
