Project Manager Commercial Solar

Main responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the administrative and coordination side of commercial solar projects from award through close-out.
- Communicate regularly with owners’ representatives, general contractors, subcontractors, and internal staff to keep projects on schedule and on budget.
- Prepare bid packages, review proposals, and award subcontractor contracts.
- Draft, negotiate, and manage subcontracts and vendor agreements.
- Review project schedules, manage change orders, and track project documentation.
- Attend project meetings and provide progress updates to clients and stakeholders.
- Prepare and process AIA billing applications, pay requests, and related paperwork.
- Coordinate with construction management and trade partners to ensure timely execution.
- Complete close-out documents and ensure all compliance requirements are met.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of project management experience in commercial construction (solar or electrical industry preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred (but not required).
- Strong knowledge of contracts, project documentation, and billing processes (AIA pay apps).
- Excellent organizational skills with close attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and subcontractors.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with project management software preferred.
- Knowledge of NEC, IBC, and NFPA standards a plus.
- NABCEP credential or solar experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced office environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
