Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools and schematics to identify issues accurately across various vehicle systems.
- Repair and maintain powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and drivetrain systems, ensuring optimal performance.
- Conduct vehicle suspension system repairs and alignments to enhance ride quality and safety standards.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams for electrical system troubleshooting and repairs involving automotive electrical systems.
- Service vehicle electrical components such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), sensors, wiring, and electronic modules.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools to execute repairs efficiently and safely.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly, managing auto estimating processes, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service experience.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Extensive knowledge of vehicle systems including powertrain, transmission, suspension, electrical wiring diagrams, and diesel engines.
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools and software for accurate troubleshooting.
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on mechanic experience across various vehicle models, especially GM vehicles.
- Ability to interpret schematics and automotive wiring diagrams for complex electrical repairs.
- Skilled in vehicle maintenance procedures such as wheel alignments, transmission repairs, welding, and suspension system work.
- Strong customer service skills coupled with effective auto estimating abilities to ensure transparent communication with clients.
