Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Sales Associate to join our retail team. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service
- Assist customers with product inquiries and demonstrate product features through demos
- Operate POS systems accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts
- Upsell products by identifying customer needs and recommending suitable items
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays and ensure proper stocking of shelves
- Conduct merchandising activities to promote featured products and seasonal items
- Manage stock levels, organize inventory, and assist with stocking shelves as needed
- Use phone etiquette to answer customer questions or direct calls appropriately
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the sales floor to enhance shopping experience
- Support cashiering duties including basic math calculations for transactions
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math concepts
- Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities
- Experience with product demos, upselling techniques, and merchandising strategies
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable to communicate effectively with a diverse customer base
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and excellent phone etiquette are essential for success in this role
