American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a PCU Float Pool position requiring telemetry experience and OH or compact RN licensure.

Hospital-based PCU Float Pool position
-
Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
-
May be required to float to another OSU-affiliated hospital approximately a 5-6 minute walk away, no commute required
-
May be required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity level
-
Estimated patient ratio of 1:3-4

Epic EMR experience required
-
Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
-
Minimum 1 year of recent step-down/PCU experience required
-
Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS (NIHSS preferred)
-
Required skills: IV starts and telemetry monitoring
-
Epic charting system experience required
-
Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
-
2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a Manager/Director or formal leadership role and no coworker references accepted
-
Provide direct patient care within a cardiac telemetry and progressive care/stepdown unit setting
-
Responsibilities may include IV therapy, arterial and central line care, blood product administration, and management of vasoactive and cardiac drips without titration
-
Skills may also include BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube care, tracheostomy care, and interpretation of dysrhythmias and ABGs
-
Participation in rapid response/code team activities as needed

Ohio fingerprinting must be completed urgently upon signing the contract to avoid start date delays

Locals accepted at the same rate

RTO must be requested and built into the contract prior to submission, limited to 7 days or less

Former employees eligible for travel assignment after being away from the facility for 6 months or more

Current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are ineligible for travel assignments

Candidates with 1-2 years of experience may be considered pending manager review, though not guaranteed an automatic offer
