Position Summary
Fitzgerald Equipment is seeking a motivated Outside Sales Representative to develop new business opportunities and maintain strong relationships with existing customers throughout the Chicagoland market. This individual will be responsible for promoting our full range of material handling equipment, rentals, parts, and service solutions while delivering exceptional customer support.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and cold calling.
- Manage and grow an assigned sales territory.
- Conduct on-site customer visits to assess material handling needs.
- Present equipment, rental, service, and parts solutions that improve customer productivity and efficiency.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and sales presentations.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and identify opportunities for additional business.
- Collaborate with service, parts, and rental departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Track sales activities and opportunities using CRM tools.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals.
Qualifications
- Previous outside sales experience preferred, ideally in material handling, industrial equipment, construction equipment, or related industries.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain customer relationships.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout assigned territory.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and CRM software.
