Job Details:
A material handler, also known as a warehouse associate, handles, moves, and stores materials in a warehouse or production facility.
Responsibilities include:
- Receiving and unloading: Receiving and unloading freight, and checking for damage
- Verifying: Verifying the quantity, quality, and contents of orders, and matching them to purchase orders
- Inventory: Maintaining inventory records, and participating in physical inventories
- Packaging and shipping: Wrapping, packaging, and shipping supplies
- Cleaning: Keeping loading areas and machinery clean
- Safety: Wearing safety gear, such as gloves and goggles, when handling tools
