A leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organization is seeking a Packaging Operator to support sterile packaging operations. This role is critical in ensuring products meet strict quality, safety, and cGMP standards while being prepared for distribution.
Overview / Job DescriptionThe Packaging Operator is responsible for supporting packaging line operations, including visual inspection, labeling, and packaging of sterile pharmaceutical products. This individual will work in a highly controlled environment and must adhere to strict safety and regulatory guidelines. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual inspection of sterile pharmaceutical products to ensure quality standards are met
- Operate and monitor packaging equipment, identifying and escalating alarms or malfunctions
- Label, package, and prepare products for distribution following SOPs and work instructions
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with cGMP requirements
- Follow all safety, regulatory, and company policies within a controlled manufacturing environment
- Support line clearance, setup, and troubleshooting activities
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments to meet production targets
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical/vocational training preferred)
- 1+ year of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing environments
- Ability to read and follow SOPs, batch records, and cGMP procedures
- Strong attention to detail with accurate documentation skills
- Ability to recognize equipment alarms and escalate appropriately
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Plusses
- Experience working in sterile or aseptic manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with packaging equipment (labelers, fillers, blister packs, etc.)
- Prior experience with batch record documentation systems
- Knowledge of FDA regulations and compliance standards
Pay: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour
