Appointment Scheduling Specialist – Heart & Vascular Specialists Clinic – Full-Time, Days

Work location: REMOTE – Denton, TX 76210
Remote work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Thursday, 8:00am – 5:00pm & Friday, 8:00am – 1:00pm
Must be able to work from home in a designated work area that will not be disturbed and can focus on daily tasks
Equipment will be provided by THPG
Employee agrees and affirms that persistent and sufficient access to Wi-Fi/internet is available in the home to be able to perform the work proposed
Training Requirements:
Training location: 2505 Scripture St., Suite 100, Denton, TX 76201
Training work hours: Monday thru Thursday, 8:00am – 5:00pm & Friday, 8:00am – 1:00pm
Training timeframe will depend on the individual
Training will be held in the office until training is completed and will then go remote
Travel: 25% to surrounding clinics as needed (mileage reimbursement provided)

Here’s What You Need
High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
2 years related experience in Healthcare environment (strongly preferred)
Requires strong customer skills.
Good communication skills.
Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Appointment Scheduling Specialist Process
Schedules all inpatient and outpatient surgery and medical procedures, tests and studies by the physician.
Responsible for answering phone calls and scheduling patient appointments.
Conduct patient pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care.
Schedule tests, procedures, and referral appointments.
Communicate with patients regarding appointments and instructions for procedures and tests.
May collect fees such as co-pays / co-insurance.
Gathers insurance information and patient personal data.
Demonstrates positive professional customer service in all patient, staff, and visitor contacts. Performs other duties as assigned.
