Summary
The Electrician III is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment and circuits, principally, but not limited to power distribution, motor control centers, and backup emergency switch gear. This position is also responsible for providing indirect guidance to others and to provide project specific management to others. Performs demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of the facility equipment to primarily include Electrical and associated systems in accordance with departmental, hospital and regulatory agency codes. Specific duties include maintaining facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environment.
Position Highlights: The Electrician III is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment and circuits, principally but not limited to power distribution, motor control centers, and backup emergency switch gear. Must also perform demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of the facility equipment to primarily include Electrical and associated systems in accordance with departmental, hospital and regulatory agency codes. Specific duties include maintaining facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environment. Responsibilities: • Maintains accurate, clear and concise documentation for equipment problems and failures including but not limited to work order completion in work order program. • Maintains electrical related equipment and procedure documentation manuals and supplies this information to the supervisor. • Responds to emergency situations including disaster response, power I other utilities loss, floods, etc. to limit effect to facility. • Demonstrates technical knowledge depth for electrical and associated systems according to standards established by management team. Can identify: types of electrical components, functionality and usage, types of electrical specific tools and how to use them, electrical specific materials and their application, basic math skills. • Assists with, oversees and/or inspects repairs or modifications performed by contractors. Credentials and Qualifications: • High School Diploma/GED required. • Minimum of five (5) year’s Healthcare experience is required. • Minimum of Ten (10) years Electrician experience s is required. • Journeyman Electrician License. • OSHA 10 hour certificate must be obtained within 180 days of employment. • Ability to work various work shifts and/or weekends as needed. • Ability to travel between other Moffitt Cancer Center facilities. • Evidence of a good driving record and maintain a good record per Moffitt policy. • Driver’s License required, must obtain Florida Driver's License within 6 months of employment. Preferred: • One (1) year High-rise Electrical system experience • One (1) year Mechanical system experience. • One (1) year of supervisory or project lead experience.
Salary Range
$26.96 - $41.15
Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
