Position Summary:
MaxHousing is looking for a Live-In Facilities Technician to join our team on the East Side of the Greater Cleveland Area. This is a live-in position where you will reside on-site and be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of the property. Your work will help provide a high quality of life for our residents, ensuring that the community is clean, well-maintained, and welcoming.
What You’ll Do
- Janitorial: Keep property clean by maintaining common areas, floors, and restrooms; perform seasonal cleaning of outdoor spaces
- Grounds Maintenance: Handle snow removal in winter, mow the lawn, and manage landscaping, including planting and weeding
- Maintenance: Respond to service requests, complete preventive maintenance, assist with unit turnovers (cleaning, repairs, and painting), and maintain appliances and HVAC units
- Emergency and Residential Support: Provide emergency response when needed, including after hours, and build positive relationships with residents
- Administration: Keep track of inventory, report on property issues, and daily use of email
Key Requirements
- Live on-site as part of your role
- Respond to emergencies as needed
- Valid driver’s license and an insured vehicle for transportation to MaxHousing properties
- Ability to perform physical tasks
- Basic computer skills
- Strong communication skills to foster positive relationships with residents
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Climb ladders, stoop, kneel, and work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions
- Respond to property emergencies during and outside regular work hours
