Tampa Bay's #1 voted Acai bowl, Pitaya bowl, smoothie, and fresh juice restaurant, Grain and Berry Cafe - SOUTH TAMPA, is interviewing for an experienced Shift Lead/Manager in the restaurant industry. We already have an amazing product and we're looking to combine that with an equally amazing staff!
This role is ideal for candidates who have a passion for customer service and are proficient in taking charge of their shift, providing direction to team members and following up to make sure the job is done correctly. Forward thinkers who take action to remove obstacles before they become operational problems will excel in this position.
The position pays weekly! Hourly rate is $14 - $15 (depending on experience) plus earned portion of pooled tips which typically range $4 - 5/hr at this location. You can become a critical part of the great team we already have in place!

Job Responsibilities:
- Exercise good public and customer relations skills at all times. Foster a welcoming environment within the restaurant by taking initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner and coaching the staff to do the same.
- Set and maintain cleanliness standard through all shifts.
- Support an excellent customer experience by preparing orders accurately; performing quality control of orders, ensuring they're made properly by staff; and by adhering to and coaching team members on process changes implemented by management.
- Lead store opening/closing processes to ensure current and next shift is set up for success.
- Prioritize tasks for team members and provide any coaching required to accomplish the tasks properly.
- Provide positive/negative feedback on employee performance and escalate employee issues to General Manager.
- Mentor new Team Members and provide training on food prep, order taking and making, and cleaning.
- Contribute to and support General Manager's plans for team member development.
- Reconcile new order shipments and organize inventory utilizing FIFO method.
- Provide input to leadership on improving store performance, operational processes, and/or individual performance that would translate to a better employee experience, customer experience, and/or profitability.
- Other duties as assigned.
