Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and organizing ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas including counters, floors, and storage spaces
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and resetting dining areas quickly and efficiently
- Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, boxes, and supplies safely according to kitchen health and safety standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, slicers, or mixers with proper training
- Follow all food handling protocols to ensure safety and sanitation at all times
Skills
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred; familiarity with kitchen operations is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation procedures essential for maintaining hygiene standards
- Strong manual handling skills for lifting heavy items safely
- Basic knife skills for assisting with food prep tasks
