A well-established, relationship-driven commercial general contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the country has an immediate need for a ground-up grocery store superintendent. Our team is known for integrity, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence.
The Role
The Superintendent will oversee all on-site construction activities for a ground-up grocery store (big brand/project) ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This individual will be the primary field leader, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and fostering strong relationships with owners, architects, and project teams.

Responsibilities
- Manage all day-to-day field operations from project start through closeout
- Lead construction of ground-up this project
- Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating all subcontractors and vendors
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
- Conduct daily site inspections and enforce quality control standards
- Maintain OSHA compliance and promote a strong safety culture
- Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and local codes
- Work closely with Project Managers, owners, architects, and consultants
- Prepare daily reports and maintain accurate project documentation
- Mentor field personnel and foster a collaborative jobsite environment
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on ground-up commercial construction projects
- Recent experience building ground-up grocery store(s) is required
- Experience managing projects from sitework through turnover
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, scheduling, and sequencing
- Ability to effectively lead subcontractors and field teams
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with construction management technology (Procore experience preferred)
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- Willingness to travel to other project locations

Pay: $115,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
