Job Description:
Envoltz is looking for a motivated and technical individual to join our production team as a Welder/Fitter. In this position you will have an involved role in the fit, weld, and fabrication of our equipment. Material varies from structural tubing to thin sheet metal of mainly steel and aluminum. Expected to be skilled in MIG and TIG with a background in metal fabrication being beneficial.

Job Responsibilities:
- Determines project requirements, including scope, assembly sequences, and required methods and materials, according to blueprints, drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
- Lays out, measures, and marks dimensions and reference lines on material, according to drawings or templates, using calculators, scribes, dividers, squares, and rulers.
- Determines required equipment and welding method, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques
- Follow AWS procedures for pre-heating and welding for various welding and fabrication scenarios
- Welds components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
- Checking finished work for quality of weld and correctness to fall within the marked tolerances
- Develops templates and other work aids to hold and align parts
- Maneuvers completed units into position for installation and anchor the units.
- Maintains equipment, making repairs or modifications when necessary.
- Trims, files, grinds, deburrs, buffs, or smoothens surfaces, seams, or joints of assembled parts, using hand tools or portable power tools.
- Mark up drawings and communicate appropriately to provide feedback to engineering to ensure accuracy of “as built” drawings
- Work with all departments to continually develop and improve processes and standards
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols
- Works independently, with other members of the production team, and with other shop employees depending on the project or task
- Work varies from large one off projects to some repeat fabrication
- Reports directly to the Production Shop Manager
Job Qualifications:
- Education: High School Graduate or GED (Required)
- Education: AWS Certification (Preferred)
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of Welding/Fitting (Preferred)
- Experience: Aluminum Welding (Preferred)

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
