We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for improving manufacturing processes, supporting new product launches, optimizing production efficiency, and implementing advanced manufacturing technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and optimize production processes to reduce waste, eliminate bottlenecks, and improve production efficiency.
- Design and improve factory layouts to maximize workflow, productivity, and space utilization.
- Assist with the selection, purchasing, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment, automation systems, and robotics.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities by collaborating with engineering, production, and management teams to ensure products are practical and cost-effective to manufacture.
- Develop and maintain quality standards by establishing testing procedures, monitoring defect rates, and implementing corrective actions to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
- Design tooling, fixtures, and production layouts using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA.
- Support the programming, integration, and troubleshooting of PLCs, CNC equipment, and robotic systems.
- Interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure components meet OEM specifications.
- Analyze production data using Microsoft Excel, MATLAB, SQL, or Power BI to track cycle times, identify trends, and improve manufacturing performance.
- Apply knowledge of manufacturing materials, including metals and plasma coatings, to optimize fabrication and bonding processes.
- Serve as a liaison between engineering, finance, production, and operations to ensure successful project execution.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues including equipment failures, production downtime, and product quality concerns.
- Manage equipment installations and manufacturing improvement projects while maintaining project schedules and budgets.
- Train and support production personnel as new manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies are introduced.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing engineering or mechanical engineering experience.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and process optimization.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar 3D CAD software.
- Working knowledge of PLCs, CNC machinery, industrial robotics, and automated manufacturing systems.
- Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings.
- Experience using Excel and manufacturing data analysis tools such as MATLAB, SQL, or Power BI.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes involving metals, coatings, fabrication, and assembly.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Compensation
Salary: Up to $120,000, depending on experience
Pay: Up to $120,000.00 per year
