Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to join our short-term rehabilitation/long-term care facility in Jamaica, NY. The CNA will provide high-quality, resident-centered care under the supervision of a licensed nurse while ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Provide care to residents in a safe, compassionate, and respectful manner under the direction of a licensed nurse.
- Perform all duties in accordance with facility policies and Federal and New York State regulations.
- Assist RNs and LPNs with resident admissions, assessments, discharges, and transfers.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, feeding, serving meals, ambulating, turning, and positioning.
- Maintain clean and comfortable living conditions for residents.
- Observe and report changes in resident condition or family concerns to the licensed nurse.
- Collect and organize charts, records, and reports for nursing staff.
- Help ensure all residents receive the highest quality of care in a caring and compassionate environment that respects individual needs and rights.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Active Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of New York.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience preferred but open to new grads.
- Spanish speaker preffered.
Schedule:
Full-time / Part-time - Every weekend
Shifts - Morning -7AM-3PM, Afternoon- 3PM-11PM & Night - 11PM-7AM
