Role Summary:
The primary and ultimate responsibility of the Assistant General Manager is to oversee all facets of warehouse & distributing operations as well as managing the day-to-day operation of the business.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities; include, but not limited to:
- Provide leadership and direction of the distribution center in support of Colony Tire’s/Atlantic Tire's policies & guidelines.
- Plan and direct the center’s warehouse associates and delivery drivers to achieve stated/agreed targets and standards for financial performance and quality.
- Manage personnel based at the distribution center for the warehouse, delivery, disciplinary procedures, grievances, counseling, training and development, morale and motivation, culture and attitudinal development.
- Serve as the on-site inventory control expert alongside the Inventory Control Specialist.
- Communicate with IT to resolve local IT issues.
- Comply with Company directives concerning health and safety programs (DOT, ADA and OSHA, etc.)
- Champion corporate image and reputation and protect the company brand.
- Maintain a professional image, including appearance and dress.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Organization, planning, preparation, responsiveness, and time management.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership techniques, and coordination of people and resources.
- Knowledge of materials, warehouse processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective distribution of goods.
- The ability to listen well, and communicate clearly, accurately, and concisely. The ability to adjust communication style to different audiences.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED required, additional education or certifications a plus.
- Valid driver’s license
