We have been exclusively retained by a well-established plaintiff-side securities litigation boutique — more than 20 attorneys strong — that seeks to hire for its Philadelphia Metro-area office a litigation associate to join its shareholder derivative practice group. The firm has built a distinguished reputation representing shareholders in complex derivative and securities matters. This is a strong opportunity for an attorney who is passionate about plaintiff-side work and eager to contribute to a busy, sophisticated practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle shareholder derivative matters across all phases of litigation
- Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs in complex corporate and securities matters
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategy
- Manage discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery and reviewing document productions
- Work collaboratively with senior attorneys and contribute to the firm's broader litigation practice
What the Firm Seeks
- Litigation associate with approximately two to five or so years of experience; the firm is flexible on class year for the right candidate
- Background in shareholder derivative litigation, securities litigation, and/or corporate governance or corporate litigation
- Strong work ethic and genuine commitment to plaintiff-side litigation
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Ability to work in-office Monday through Thursday (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
What the Firm Offers
- Base salary is likely about $115,000 to $165,000, depending on experience, and total compensation could range from $165,000 to $215,000 with upside potential over time
