SUMMARY:
The Executive Assistant is responsible for assisting with administrative functions and assumes other tasks as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer. The Executive Assistant may also provide support to the leadership team and during fundraising and awareness events as needed.
This position will exercise the organization’s “Mission Statement” to establish high personal standards of excellence and job performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND STANDARDS
· Complete 30 hours of initial domestic and sexual violence training to become registered for privileged communication. Attend and document 16 hours of training each fiscal year in domestic violence, child abuse, elder abuse, and other issues that are pertinent to providing quality service to victims of which 8 of the hours each fiscal year will be on sexual violence.
· Work closely with the Chief Executive Officer to ensure efficient, business-like operations of the programs and office.
· Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; provide information and assistance to employees in a helpful, courteous, and timely manner.
· Prepare employee greeting cards and other correspondence as required by the Chief Executive Officer.
· Plan, schedule meetings, appointments and make training and travel arrangements as needed.
· Write and/or type letters and other correspondence, including in-Center memoranda as requested by the Chief Executive Officer.
· Maintain an organized system of paper and electronic documents.
· Conduct research, compile reports, and assist in the compilation of statistical data.
· Maintain confidentiality of privileged information obtained in the course of work.
· Participate as needed and as time allows in Human Resources processing of new hire documentation and related tasks.
· Coordination of Board of Director’s meeting agendas, packets, minutes, to include committee meetings.
· Vendor Contact and Management of IT, copier(s), postage machine, and other vendors as determined.
· Point of contact and coordination of IT needs.
· Create monthly newsletter for staff.
· Annual update of Disaster Plan and oversees safety committee meetings.
· Open mail, distribute to staff, and immediate stamp endorsement on checks received in the mail.
· Take minutes during board and committee meetings that accurately reflect any action the board takes.
· Additional duties as assigned/ required.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
· College or equivalent work experience preferred.
· Enthusiastic solution-oriented professional who approaches challenges with a collaborative approach and focuses on continuous improvement.

· Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
