We are looking for a barber who already has clients and wants to grow into a six-figure chair.
Just A Touch Barbershop & Hair Lounge is an upscale barbershop located in the heart of Manalapan, NJ. Our shop is built around professionals who take pride in their craft, value exceptional client experiences, and treat their chair like a business.
We continue to grow every year and consistently attract new clients. However, success in our shop comes from barbers who are motivated to build and maintain their own book while contributing to a professional, high-standard team environment.
As we actively have walk-in traffic, not a place for barbers who want to sit and wait in the chair.
What We’re Looking For
- Existing clientele preferred
- Motivation to continuously grow your book of business
- High-quality haircuts, fades, beard work, and grooming services
- Strong focus on client retention and rebooking
- Active engagement with clients and promotion of your work on social media
- Clean, professional workstation and appearance
- Ability to work well within a team while running your chair like a business
Performance Expectations
- Maintain strong booking percentages
- Build long-term client relationships and high retention rates
- Deliver a premium client experience every visit
- Continuously improve craft, speed, and service quality
- Promote your work and build your personal brand
If retention and booking expectations are not being met, this environment will not be the right fit.
Compensation
This role operates on a performance-based sliding scale commission structure designed to reward barbers who are motivated and productive.
The more you grow your book and maintain strong retention, the more you earn.
Requirements
- Valid New Jersey Barber License
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of proper sanitation and hygiene standards
- Professional appearance and work ethic
- Experience with booking software is a plus but not required
