We are seeking a passionate and energetic full and part time teachers for a few different classrooms. Preschool Teacher in our 3's & 3/4's rooms, and part time afternoons in our infant room and 2 year old rooms.
Seeking candidates to inspire and nurture young learners during their critical early childhood years. In this role, you will create a vibrant, safe, and engaging classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Your enthusiasm for early childhood education will help lay a strong foundation for children’s lifelong learning journey. You will collaborate with families and team members to deliver a comprehensive curriculum that fosters curiosity, independence, and joy in learning.
Duties
Core Responsibilities:
- Patience, compassion, and a passion for child development.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Planning and delivering age-appropriate activities focusing on early literacy, math, science, and social skills.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that supports behavior management and child welfare
- Use effective classroom management techniques to maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote development in areas such as language, social skills, motor skills, and early intervention strategies
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and secure classroom, which includes supervising children during playtime, meals, and naptime.
- Promoting positive behavior, fostering independence, and helping children develop self-help skills (e.g., eating, dressing, toileting).
- Keeping records of children’s progress, routines, and interests to report to parents/guardians.
- Building positive relationships with families and holding conferences to discuss child development.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; CDA (Child Development Associate) certificate, Associate degree, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) is preferred.
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies
- Ability to lift children, sit on the floor, and move quickly to ensure safety.
- First aid/CPR certification and background checks are mandatory, will provide training if needed.
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
