Position Overview
Xyalent is hiring Event Promoters to help promote upcoming CustomEvents.net events, increase ticket sales, build local awareness, attract new guests, and grow event attendance.
We're looking for outgoing, motivated, social, and dependable individuals who know how to get people interested in an event and turn that interest into actual attendance.
Custom Events produces social experiences including Party Up Fridays, Social Saturdays, Funday Sundays, Thirst Lounge Thursdays, food events, game-day experiences, fashion/runway events, private parties, networking events, and other special events.
Event Promoters will use a combination of social media, personal networks, digital promotion, community outreach, direct invitations, content sharing, and in-person promotion to build excitement around upcoming events.
Promoters will also help introduce people to the Xyalent and Custom Events platforms and encourage potential workers, talent, promoters, and event guests to download the Xyalent and Custom Events apps on Android.
Responsibilities
- Promote assigned CustomEvents.net events.
- Help increase ticket sales, RSVPs, memberships, and event attendance.
- Share approved flyers, videos, event graphics, and promotional content.
- Promote events through Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Snapchat, and other approved platforms.
- Personally invite potential guests to upcoming events.
- Encourage guests to visit CustomEvents.net for upcoming events and tickets.
- Encourage Android users to download the Custom Events app.
- Introduce potential models, dancers, DJs, hosts, creators, promoters, and other talent to Xyalent.
- Encourage interested talent and job seekers to download the Xyalent app on Android.
- Explain the difference between the platforms: Xyalent connects people with talent and entertainment opportunities, while Custom Events connects guests with events and experiences.
- Build relationships with local communities, businesses, creators, college groups, social groups, and other potential attendees when appropriate.
- Distribute approved promotional materials at authorized locations.
- Share ticket and RSVP links.
- Use assigned promoter links, referral links, QR codes, or promotional codes when provided.
- Encourage interested guests to purchase tickets through official Custom Events channels.
- Create appropriate promotional posts, stories, short-form videos, and other content when assigned.
- Help generate excitement before each event.
- Answer basic questions about event dates, admission, dress codes, food, entertainment, activities, and available opportunities.
- Direct customers to CustomEvents.net for official event information and purchases.
- Direct potential talent and workers to Xyalent.com for available opportunities.
- Track promotional activity and leads when required.
- Report common questions and guest feedback to the Promotions or Event Team.
- Attend selected events and assist with on-site promotion when assigned.
- Network with guests during events and encourage attendance at future Custom Events experiences.
- Work with Event Hosts, Models, Dancers, DJs, Content Creators, and marketing staff on promotional campaigns.
- Maintain professional communication when representing Xyalent and Custom Events.
Requirements
Applicants should:
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be outgoing, approachable, and comfortable speaking with new people.
- Be dependable and able to meet promotional deadlines.
- Have access to a smartphone and reliable internet connection.
- Be comfortable using major social-media platforms.
- Understand basic social-media posting, sharing, messaging, and content promotion.
- Be comfortable explaining how guests can access Custom Events and how talent can access Xyalent.
- Be willing to encourage Android users to download the appropriate apps.
- Be willing to actively promote assigned events rather than simply reposting flyers.
- Be able to communicate event information accurately.
- Maintain professional and respectful interactions online and in person.
- Follow approved marketing guidelines and promotional messaging.
- Never make unauthorized promises regarding admission, pricing, refunds, VIP access, complimentary tickets, food, drinks, jobs, or entertainment opportunities.
- Be available for some evenings and weekends depending on event assignments.
Reliable transportation may be required for assignments involving in-person promotional activity.

Applicants with an established social-media following, strong local network, campus/community connections, or previous promotional experience are encouraged to apply, but a large social-media following is not required.
What Makes a Strong Event Promoter
We're looking for promoters who understand that successful promotion is more than posting a flyer.
A strong promoter knows how to:

Promoters should be comfortable developing relationships and building a consistent audience that may return for future Custom Events experiences.
Performance Tracking
Depending on the campaign, promoters may receive an individual promo code, referral link, QR code, or promoter identifier.
Xyalent and Custom Events may track:
- Tickets sold
- RSVPs generated
- Referral-link activity
- Promo-code usage
- Guest attendance
- Promotional content completed
- Leads generated
- Repeat attendees
- Overall campaign participation
Performance expectations and any incentive or commission structure will be communicated for each assignment.
Schedule
This is a flexible, part-time/event-based position.
Some promotional work may be completed remotely through approved digital and social-media channels, while other assignments may involve local, in-person promotion or attendance at the event.
Schedules depend on upcoming Custom Events productions and promotional campaigns.
