Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and provide detailed descriptions of dishes and beverages to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Process cash and card transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in sales and tips management
- Upsell menu items, including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes, to maximize sales opportunities
- Serve food and beverages professionally, adhering to food safety standards and sanitation protocols
- Assist with food handling, prep, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold high sanitation standards
- Use reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage bookings smoothly and optimize guest flow
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or high-volume settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with sales transaction processing is essential
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and energetic demeanor
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service is highly desirable
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations; familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices
- Previous experience in culinary roles or kitchen environments is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Valid food handling certification or willingness to obtain certification prior to employment
