Key Responsibilities

Field Operations Leadership: Lead and supervise asphalt paving crews to ensure safe, efficient, and high quality operations across residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
- Execution and Planning: Plan, organize, and execute paving activities to meet project specifications and critical path timelines.
- Equipment Command: Operate paving equipment as needed including paving machines, screeds, rollers, backhoes, and skid steers.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with project managers, clients, and civil engineers to interpret and implement technical project plans.
- Asset Maintenance: Perform regular equipment inspections and oversee routine maintenance needs to minimize jobsite downtime.
- Safety Enforcement: Promote and enforce strict safety protocols while fostering a proactive culture of safety awareness.
- Administrative Reporting: Accurately maintain digital timecards, production rate logs, equipment utilization reports, and daily project progress records.
- Material and Resource Logistics: Manage the delivery and allocation of materials, equipment fleets, and personnel for optimal workflow.
- Team Development: Train and mentor new crew members, fostering a high performing team culture.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot real time operational issues and implement innovative solutions to challenges during the paving process.
- Cost Control: Monitor project budgets and work toward cost effective solutions without sacrificing quality or safety.
What You Need to Succeed (Qualifications)
Required

Supervisory Tenure: 5 plus years of proven experience as an Asphalt Paving Foreman, lead man, or similar supervisory role in civil construction.
- Equipment Mastery: Strong proficiency operating paving machines, screeds, rollers, and related earthmoving equipment.
- Linguistic Fluency: Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Blueprint Literacy: Strong ability to interpret technical plans and communicate clearly with project stakeholders.
- Safety Expertise: In depth knowledge of safety regulations and experience promoting safe work environments.
- Physical Capabilities: Physically fit and capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Logistics Infrastructure: Valid California driver license with a clean driving record.
