Cooney Air is looking for Residential HVAC Service Technicians to join our team!

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of HVAC systems and be able to diagnose and repair any issues that arise. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment, as well as performing regular maintenance checks and inspections. We are looking for professionals who are detail-oriented, organized, and have excellent problem-solving skills.
Pay Range: $65,000 – $125,000 per year + Bonus Opportunities!
Technicians are eligible for a $5,000 Sign-on Bonus (paid in installments).

What You'll Do:
- Diagnose, repair, warranty services, and preventative maintenance of residential HVAC equipment
- Troubleshoot systems including boilers, furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless systems, and more
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems
- Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
- Identify maintenance risks on equipment
- Keep daily logs and records of all maintenance functions
- Complete necessary paperwork and service reports to track work, parts, refrigerant, and time
- Establish customer rapport and assist with service recommendations and repair/replacement options
- Educate customers on products, services, maintenance plans, and financing options
- Maintain a clean, organized job site and well-inventoried truck
- Work alongside dispatch and customer service teams
- Participate in training opportunities and assist in mentoring apprentices
- Comply with service standards, work instructions, and safety requirements
- Emergency On-Call Rotation (1 day every 1–2 weeks)
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of residential HVAC experience required
- Universal EPA Certification (NATE Certification a plus)
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration, controls, and electrical systems
- Experience maintaining and repairing residential heating & cooling equipment
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and handle extension ladders
- Must have and maintain hand tools of the trade
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills required
