A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required for this position. An SOQ is a narrative that describes your qualifications for this position. The SOQ must be no more than two (2) pages, 12-point font, organized and numbered as reflected below. You must respond to all the following items. Applicants who do not follow these requirements may be disqualified from the hiring process.
1. Describe your experience preparing, transforming, reviewing, and validating recurring reports (Daily and Monthly). In your response, include specific examples demonstrating your ability to analyze data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and transparency in reporting. Discuss how you have identified irregularities in data and independently or collaboratively found resolutions. Reference any tools, methodologies, or analytical techniques you have used, including process improvements or development of new analytical tools.
2. Describe your experience using Microsoft Excel to analyze data and support decision-making. In your response, include specific examples of the Excel functions, formulas, or tools you have used (such as pivot tables, lookup functions, charts, macros, or data validation) and explain how your work improved outcomes or solved a problem.
3. Provide examples of your experience conducting invoice reviews, expenditure tracking, or financial data mining. What were the metrics used to evaluate the invoices. Describe how you ensured compliance with internal controls and organizational standards.
Applications received without the SOQ will not be considered. Resumes, letters, and other materials will not be considered in the place of the SOQ. Artificial intelligence (AI) tools such as ChatGPT, website searches, and third-party reviewers can be helpful in researching responses to the SOQ; however, by submitting your application for this position, you understand and acknowledge the SOQ you submit is your own work, in your own words, and accurately reflects your knowledge, skills, abilities, and experiences. Submitting an SOQ that is not your own may be cause for disqualification from the hiring process.
