Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas including floors, restrooms, patient rooms, offices, and common spaces using proper cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Follow established sanitation protocols to ensure all surfaces are disinfected effectively, especially in healthcare or high-traffic environments.
- Use appropriate cleaning agents and tools while adhering to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards for safety and environmental services.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through proper floor care procedures such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, or carpet cleaning as needed.
- Restock supplies like paper products, hand sanitizers, and cleaning materials to ensure continuous availability.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to supervisors for immediate resolution.
- Follow all environmental services guidelines to promote a healthy, sanitized environment while minimizing environmental impact.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial cleaning settings preferred.
- Experience working in healthcare facilities or hospitals is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to safety, cleaning procedures, and sanitation practices.
- Demonstrated ability to perform floor care tasks such as stripping, waxing, buffing or carpet extraction.
