Stone Superintendent
The Stone Superintendent oversees the installation, and customer service of all stone jobs at the installation site. They work hand in hand with the Stone Project Scheduler. This includes managing external installers, overseeing safety and quality of work, and helping meet and manage customer expectations. Also includes after sales service, repairs and punch list items.
The Stone Superintendent must be a very communicative, organized person. He/she must work effectively by bridging the expectations set by sales to the installers. He/she must work with the Stone Project Scheduler to understand and meet the quality and service levels that Visionmakers clients expect. He/she must excel in scheduling and balancing jobs and resources, recruiting and maintaining key personnel, and helping resolve customer concerns and achieving customer satisfaction. He/she must be able to lift heavy loads occasionally and perform masonry and iron/paint touch up services. He/she must be of complete integrity and exude a professional image of the company to others.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
SCHEDULING
- Communicate project projected install lengths with Stone Project Scheduler (SPS)
- Work with and Follow Schedule provided by Stone Project Scheduler
- Collaborates with sales team to fully understand scope of work prior to scheduling
- Updates Stone Project Scheduler about each install job daily
- Works with Stone Project Scheduler to assign jobs to appropriate crews and oversees workload distribution
- Communicates scheduling updates to Stone Project Scheduler
- Through Stone Project Scheduler Coordinates pickups and deliveries
COMMUNICATION
- Updates Stone Project Scheduler ASAP with all updates or changes to stone install projects (this is imperative that these updates are on time, clear and concise so that the Stone Project Scheduler can communicate to clients accordingly
- Responds promptly to any request from SPS with in 30 minutes of request
- Maintains clear, professional, and consistent communication to uphold Visionmakers service standards
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT & PROFITABILITY
- Works with SPS to follow project budgets
- Monitors installation costs to ensure projects are completed on budget
- Completes work pay forms for accuracy and cost control and submits to Stone Project Scheduler
- Notifies Stone Project Scheduler immediately if any unforeseen costs arise and will affect job profitability
INSTALLATION OVERSIGHT
- Gives installers Job Start Packet BEFORE installation is started
- Recruits, trains, and manages installation personnel in accordance with company standards, UBC, and Arizona Code Masonry Guidelines
- Communicates project details including CADS, cost expectations, and marked up plans to installers prior to job start
- Conducts regular site visits to monitor progress and quality
- Identifies and resolves installation issues proactively, including missing or incorrect materials
- Provides problem solving support to clients and sales team when challenges arise
- Manages change orders by determining scope, pricing, and quantities (sales team finalizes approvals)
- Ensures all job sites maintain high standards of professionalism, safety, and cleanliness
- Verifies installations meet design specifications and company quality standards
- Performs final “blue tape” inspections prior to job completion
- Ensures projects are completed on schedule
PROJECT CLOSEOUT & DOCUMENTATION
- Coordinates final walkthroughs with clients and ensures timely collection of payment
- Submits biweekly job completion reports for billing of non-retail jobs
- Documents job progress with photos and saves in job file
- Coordinates removal and return of leftover materials with warehouse and installers
- Completes and maintains Daily Jobsite Checklist and saves in job file
SALES SUPPORT & MARKET AWARENESS
- Ensures job site presentation reflects and reinforces Visionmakers brand standards
- Supports sales team with site measurements as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
