Position Summary:
The Security Guard plays a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment throughout the hotel. This individual will be responsible for monitoring the premises, responding to incidents, and enforcing safety protocols, all while providing excellent service to guests and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol hotel premises regularly to maintain a visible presence and deter disturbances.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations.
- Monitor surveillance systems and access control systems.
- Document and report safety and security incidents thoroughly and accurately.
- Enforce hotel policies and procedures related to safety, security, and conduct.
- Assist in handling guest complaints or concerns related to safety.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
- Support evacuation procedures and emergency response drills.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security licenses or certifications (as required by D.C. regulations).
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
