Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a positive, service‑oriented, energetic, and self‑motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role works closely with the Front Office and Housekeeping departments to ensure a consistently safe, well‑maintained, and welcoming environment for our guests.
The ideal candidate will ensure that the property is maintained in the best possible condition at all times, with minimal inconvenience to guests and colleagues.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Represent the hotel in a positive and professional manner at all times.
- Prioritize repairs or maintenance issues that may impact or inconvenience the guest experience.
- Repair and maintain facility buildings, systems, and equipment.
- Complete building and guest room repairs, including plumbing, painting, sheetrock, and carpentry.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all building systems and equipment.
- Complete groundskeeping tasks as needed, including landscaping, exterior upkeep, and maintaining outdoor areas in accordance with brand standards.
- Remove and dispose of trash upon arrival and departure from the property, ensuring all exterior areas remain clean and presentable.
- Perform routine treatment, cleaning, and maintenance of the swimming pool and spa, ensuring compliance with safety, chemical balance, and sanitation standards.
- Clean, lubricate, protect, and maintain all tools and equipment.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are returned to and secured in the proper storage area.
- Complete all assigned work in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.
- Uphold the hotel’s Standard Code of Conduct and all regulations established by management and the Employee Handbook.
- Follow and maintain the hotel’s emergency procedures as instructed by management.
Job Requirements
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Previous maintenance experience is required.
- Previous experience in plumbing is required.
- Experience in maintaining refrigeration equipment and commercial laundry equipment is required.
- Must maintain proper uniform and grooming standards at all times.
- Flexibility is required, as hotel operations run 24/7.
- Ability to perform the following physical tasks: carrying, lifting, pushing, and pulling items up to 100 pounds; frequent standing and walking; frequent handling of tools and equipment; bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and crawling.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
