Position: Nutrition Coordinator/ Assistant Food Service DirectorLocation: DistrictwideSalary: TBD; Salaried Position (195-Days) Start Date: August 24,2026Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Culinary, or Institutional Food Service. Dietician preferred.Demonstrated knowledge of USDA Child Nutrition Programs, production records, and dietary allergens.High proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, Canva, and social media platforms (X, Facebook, Instagram).ServSafe and Mass Allergen certified.Valid Drivers License and reliable vehicle.Job Responsibilities: Assist Food Service Director in daily operations and general management of the Food Service Department.On-Site Training: Provide rotating weekly support to school sites to ensure compliance, recipe development, and staff training.Recipe Development: Pioneer scratch cooking initiatives; develop and demonstrate new recipes that maximize USDA commodities.Compliance & Monitoring: Monitor meal pattern compliance, portions, and H.A.C.C.P. paperwork accuracy.Special Dietary Needs: Manage and review requests for special diets; facilitate communication between parents, nursing staff, and kitchen personnel.Marketing & Wellness: Manage department social media and marketing materials; participate in Wellness Committee meetings to align with NSLP requirements.Classroom Integration: Bridge the gap between the classroom and cafeteria through grow gardens and nutrition education.Additional Working Conditions: Schedule: 35 hours per week; 195-day work year (includes 8 days prior to the school year and 5 days following the last day)Physical Demands: Must be physically capable of carrying objects weighing 40 pounds.All additional duties and responsibilities assigned by Food Service Director
