Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tailor Shop Manager to lead our tailoring team with enthusiasm and expertise. In this role, you will oversee daily operations of the tailor shop, ensuring high-quality garment alterations, custom apparel production, and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all shop activities, including garment sewing, clothing alterations, and custom apparel creation.
- Manage a team of tailors and sewing specialists, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of sewing machines, pressing machines, and press operation equipment.
- Oversee garment construction processes, including fabric selection, stitching, hand sewing, and finishing details.
- Maintain high standards of quality control for all products, ensuring precise stitching and flawless garment construction.
- Deliver excellent customer service by understanding client needs, offering expert advice on fabric materials and tailoring options.
- Implement efficient workflow procedures to meet deadlines while maintaining craftsmanship excellence.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fashion retail or tailoring environments with a strong background in clothing alterations and garment sewing.
- Skilled in operating sewing machines, pressing machines, and press operation tools with attention to detail.
- Knowledgeable about fabric materials used in men's wear tailoring, women's wear tailoring, and custom apparel production.
- Strong understanding of garment construction techniques including stitching, hand sewing, and basic math for measurements and adjustments.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Exceptional customer service skills to engage clients confidently and professionally.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
